Murder is a game where players attempt to eliminate the king and take the throne. The objective is to approach the king unnoticed and strike at the right moment. If successful, the player takes the king’s place, wearing his robes and assuming control. Timing and precision are necessary to avoid being detected before the attack. A failed attempt results in immediate capture, ending the run.
Defending the Throne
Once in power, the player must stay alert to threats from others who seek to do the same. Assassins will attempt to sneak up and repeat the cycle, forcing the player to remain vigilant. Looking over the shoulder at the right moment exposes attackers before they can strike. Missing a threat or being distracted for too long allows an enemy to take over, ending the player’s reign.
Maintaining Control
The longer the player survives as king, the greater the challenge becomes. Assassination attempts continue at an increasing rate, making reaction time more important. The goal is to maintain power for as long as possible while preventing others from seizing control. Each new run provides another chance to refine timing and awareness, testing the player’s ability to rule without falling victim to the next assassin.
